Here’s a super easy, toxic-free, and effective toilet bowl cleaning recipe with essential oils. It's safe for the kids to use, so they can help ! (Bonus: Let them help make it too!)
16 oz. jar (we use PET plastic jars because they hold up to the kids and citrus essential oil)
Label, optional
1 1/4 cups baking soda⠀
1/3 cup citric acid⠀
20 drops Lemon essential oil⠀
10 drops Citrus Fresh essential oil
Mix ingredients together in a container. For best results, mix in a large glass bowl and let sit until dry. When mixture has hardened, break up and store in container. ⠀
To use, add about 1/4 cup to toilet bowl (or if you are like me, just sprinkle some into the toilet), let fizz for several minutes then scrub with toilet brush.
